Why do you think women and children are seen as liabilities or victims?

I feel like it's because MOST women and children are taught to stay in a "woman's place", same as the child "stay in a child place". They are taught that "that's a mans job". So they are basically conditioned to live without realizing the importance of having skilled training on how to protect or defend themselves in case of an emergency. Then when something bad happens that's when they have to fight for their lives or die, causing them to be victims.... This will NOT be our situation now or ever, even if it has happen, it wont happen again! Thats why we have @graceprivatesecurity joining the safe haven to teach us weapons training, how to interact with officers, our rights, worst case scenario etc. BUT, tell me what you think about it below and/or Join The MGSafe Haven and share your thoughts with the rest of us tomorrow?

In my experience (whether directly or indirectly) people don’t respect women and children and it’s not just men. A lot of times its other women too. I also think that because ppl look at women and children as liabilities they’re afraid of those of us that are not so affectionate or vulnerable and when it comes to children the think they lack understanding so they don’t have to “respect” but children are ppl too.t they have there own thoughts feelings aspirations and perspectives.

I completely agree sis. I feel like sometimes ya as women rely too much on a man for protection that we lack learning how to protect ourselves and not just with inner peace to be becoming better but making sure we are able to handle ourselves when it comes down to it. We are not going to alway be around our men and they can’t always protect us. We gotta step out that I’m a woman and start thinking I’m gangsta and I’m gon fight for my life at the end of the day. I carry a knife, a taser, and my 9 mm with me. People be like you got all that. Yes cause guess who not gon go down without a fight.
