Why do you think women and children are seen as liabilities or victims?

I feel like it's because MOST women and children are taught to stay in a "woman's place", same as the child "stay in a child place". They are taught that "that's a mans job". So they are basically conditioned to live without realizing the importance of having skilled training on how to protect or defend themselves in case of an emergency. Then when something bad happens that's when they have to fight for their lives or die, causing them to be victims.... This will NOT be our situation now or ever, even if it has happen, it wont happen again! Thats why we have @graceprivatesecurity joining the safe haven to teach us weapons training, how to interact with officers, our rights, worst case scenario etc. BUT, tell me what you think about it below and/or Join The MGSafe Haven and share your thoughts with the rest of us tomorrow?

Women and children can or will be treated as liabilities due to systemic discrimination. Women of color are treated like liabilities due too hyper sexual activities, Via social media platforms as well as streaming services. So of course the treatment of women would be seen as liable because their lives have been seen as being disposable.

Our family unit as a whole isn’t as activated as previous generations. This is the cause children and women are perceived as liabilities.

We are still attempting to repair the rift created that is patriarchy. Now is a shift in that paradigm we Rise.

I think this is so because women and children are not naturally taught how to properly protect themselves nor combat skills for protection

I grew up where children were seen and not heard. Women spoke when they were spoken too, and that was in the 90’s!! I’d like to believe a lot has changed living in 2020, yet we continue to keep our children quiet and our mouths shut in situations that are uncomfortable. I agree completely that it’s not just with men either!! Women have been tailored to naturally be submissive in the mindset that we have to depend on another in order to succeed, and that alpha females don’t exist. Although other things I believe play a part in that way of thinking, a huge benefactor comes from the idea that women are fragile creatures and lack the capability to to rise to the occasion without a life or death situation being on the table first. Don’t get me wrong, we truly find our strengths in moments where weakness tests us most, but there are so many instances where you can be in a position of power, of leadership in some firm of fashion…it is in those moments where we find ourselves unable to detach from the situation until those around us are protected and kept out of harm’s way. I would kill a million times over for my family… for my children, but it’s not always necessarily my fight. Sometimes bringing emotion to the table can be a liability in situations where the knowledge is less effective because the woman believes she is incapable of coming out on top. It’s a mindset, unfortunately some days, it’s a mindset that too many people generally have. The ability to have an prepare, proceed, reflect, and succeed should be on everyone’s side…. more so nowadays when being anything other than the typical ordinary isn’t welcome. We gotta come together as women, not as numbers.
